850nm VERSUS 940nm:
850nm illuminators will usually help with a clear image, as IR cameras are more sensitive to 850nm radiation.
Animals perceive different wavelengths but usually 850nm is preferred.
940nm is the better option for airsoft use etc, as there is less of a visible glow from the diode, almost invisible to the human eye.
940nm+ IR light is used for covert surveillance cameras.
380nm to 700nm wavelength are visible to the human eye, above this can be visible as a faint red glow, if at close range and high power source.
Please Note: Take extra care not to look directly into the torch, as it wont be clear when turn on.
940nm wavelength IR illuminators have approx 40 to 50% less range than 850nm illuminators.

Please Note: Batteries are not included.
Make sure you use the appropriate batteries.
With Lithium-Ion / Li-ion batteries, we only recommend you use the protected versions, these have an electronic circuit that protects the battery from overcharging, and over discharge etc.
As IR illuminators emit very little visible light, it is easy to leave them turned on and damage none protected batteries.
If No Power:
Double check your batteries are in a good state and ensure good connections,
use a little oil on a clean rag to clean all the threads, and check
the inner tailcap switch assembly is screwed in tightly.
Please Note: these are designed to be used with a night vision device, they wont illuminate anything to be seen by the naked eye, for that you would just need a torch.
