Sight base Picatinny rail for FN FAL or L1A1 SLR rifle.
Designed to replace the original stamped steel top cover.
It should accepts all standard STANAG / Picatinny 1913 accessories as well as most Weaver mounted accessories and rings.
The open rear design allows for easy removal of bolt and carrier assembly.
Fits both metric and imperial spec FAL type rifles.
Should not require gun smithing for instillation in the majority of cases, and no modification of the upper receiver needed.
Black anodized aircraft grade aluminium.

The FN FAL ~ Fusil Automatique Léger (Light Automatic Rifle) is Belgium designed battle rifle manufactured by FN Herstal and others.
It is one of the worlds most widely used rifles, earning itself the name of "the right arm of the free world".
The non-metric imperial version of the rifle is the British / Commonwealth L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle (SLR), which was also known by the initial Canadian designation of C1, or in the USA as the "inch pattern" FAL.
