009 gun bore cleaner by Parker Hale.
Nitro powder solvent in a glass bottle.
A powerful cleaner which dissolves powder residues and lead or gliding metal deposits in barrels.
Use as a rust preventer after cleaning.
Lead and metallic fouling in gun barrels often causes serious pitting in that it hides rusting steel beneath the fouling.
This rust rapidly eats in the metal resulting in severe damage unless quickly removed.
009 is specially designed to in gun barrels often do this.
100ml glass bottle.
How To Use:
Saturate a patch with 009, insert into the barrel on a cleaning rod and swab vigorously.
Wipe through with a clean patch and inspect.
If the patch shows minute flakes of lead or greenish stain then scrub through with a phosphor bronze brush saturated with 009, then wipe through with clean patches.
When the bore is clean an application of 009 on a clean patch will leave a rust preventing film on the bore.
